In Lawrence Township, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across New Jersey vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. For many years my family dealt with the guys running the garage until about a year ago when the mechanics retired or moved on. The new owner and repairman is Carlos. The work he did was excellent and the price was very competitive. I had some body damage and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg to fix it. Carlos was very creative and was able to clip the damage. It's not perfect but my bumper isn't dragging on the ground either. He didn't even charge me to do it. Of course I paid for the brakes and rotors. He is the classic story of an immigrant working hard to support his family. (He's Hispanic and could be from Puerto Rico which is part of America.). I have found a new mechanic that I can trust. Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic experience at Lawrence Auto Repair! I brought my car in to get 4 new tires, and Carlos did an absolute top-notch job. He was super fast, incredibly kind, and explained everything clearly. On top of the amazing work, the pricing was very reasonable and fair. It’s hard to find an auto shop that is this honest, quick, and reliable. Carlos definitely gained a customer for life, I highly recommend coming here if you want quality work and great service!

After being disappointed by so many other mechanics, I found this one through searching online and looking at all the reviews. I decided to give this place a try. I’m so glad I did! Carlos is amazing! My car had a few issues which other places were charging me an arm and a leg!! Carlos was so knowledgeable and honest and affordable! He fixed all the issues the next day for a fraction of the price! I finally found my go to place for all my car troubles:)

I’ve been to this auto repair shop twice now, and both experiences were excellent. Carlos did a great job each time. He’s professional, honest, and clearly cares about his customers. It’s hard to find a repairman you can truly trust, but Carlos is definitely one of them. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for reliable and honest service!
